I'm new here, and as it is appropriate to introduce... I live just south of of Buffalo NY in what we call the South Towns. I chase in mostly copper and silver, but also engrave in steel and precious metals. I have always looked at Japanese styled art for inspiration, but my objects tend to be in the Arts and Crafts Movement tradition. I generally work on holloware and Jewelry but have been known to dabble in some weaponry. I have an MFA in metal/jewelry design from the School for American Crafts at the Rochester Institute of Technology. I teach High School Art, have a Studio on the side, and teach metal smithing and chasing in various workshops year round. I promise an avatar sometime soon, when I can get around to getting a decent shot that actually resembles me. I have a fairly outdated website http://www.ronvano.comRegards,
